“FUN & SKILLS” IN THE WORLD OF SCHOOL SPORT

“FUN & SKILLS” IN THE WORLD OF SCHOOL SPORT

In 2018, the ISF Youth Council is on board with the “Fun & Skills” project. The last meeting of the ISF Youth Council in Olbia (Italy), during the ISF Seminar, proves to be fruitful and bears great opportunities for young people willing to get involved in school sport.

The Youth Council, composed of 11 members appointed by their national school sport organisations, took up the challenge of bringing more educational and fun dimensions into the ISF events, while promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles. In line with the ISF Vision 2030, they are the concretisation of strong belief in empowering the youth. Therefore, they developed the “Fun & Skills” project to raise awareness on the importance of conscious lifestyle among young school sport participants based on peer to peer trainings and joyful inclusive games. Their project is designed as follow:

“Fun & Skills” young volunteers' training (April 2018): open call for international young volunteers in school sport selected on motivation, age (14-30), English, and experience in volunteering, to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes to participate in ISF events.
“Fun & Skills” zones (2018): the young volunteers will run activities in parallel of the competition on ISF events, to raise awareness on healthy lifestyle and sustainable sport, through peer to peer learning.
Evaluation & dissemination (2018-2020): innovative proposals to foster the participation of young and improve the zones for future ISF events.

This pilot project aims at developing the whole international volunteer’s movement within the ISF network, therefore, the Youth Council will be delighted to receive numerous applications to build up a strong and dynamic team. Please refer to the attached documents to propose your application(s)***.
